We all know the importance of Facebook to our own lives and in our country, but what about international usage? We found there were some surprises in this data that Michele Caivano, the creator of this infographic, alerted us to. A survey of the most popular SEO tools

I found this infographic really interesting since it shows the range of tools available for SEO. It also shows how other people approach managing SEO and the kind of reasons they choose to use software to help. I think software that helps review and improves SEO is great, as long as it is not trying to help cut corners, such as automated link building! I have used a majority of the software mentioned in the infographic below and we have paid subscriptions for Majestic SEO (Backlink analysis) and Screaming Frog (Managing internal links).

It seems infographics are popular, but they have a flaw - they're instantly out-of-date. Well not any more. Thanks to HTML5, if your data sources are updated, the infographic can stay up-to-date too! This is a great initiative by Online Schools which also uses HTML5 to add interactivity - check it out - it's one of the best examples of the power of HTML5 we've seen:

When it comes to auditing SEO this infographic helps remind us of how complex the SEO channel can be, but at the same time it can be actioned as a list of things to do.

When proactively trying to grow your reach through SEO I think it is much easier to simplify the channel. I am surprised tools such as Google Webmaster tools, Xenu / Screaming frog didn't appear more as ways to easily complete / check significant parts of the audit but other than that, this is a well written guide you should definitely checkout.
